African American Women, the Obesity Epidemic and Menopause and Their Role in Cardiometabolic Disease


Speaker:   Dr. Nicole E. Williams, Obstetrics/Gynecology


Dr. Nicole E. Williams received her doctorate of medicine from Loyola University Medical School in 2002.  She interned at Wayne State University in Detroit in Obstetrics and Gynecology and performed her residency at St. Joseph in Chicago.  Today, Dr. Williams is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center.  She currently sits on the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists International Affairs Committee and has lobbied the United States Congress on women's health issues.  Her areas of interest include menopausal medicine and dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
